This year’s WWDC (World Wide Developers Conference) wasn’t a pleasing experience for iMac lovers. Though there were some announcements on software, no news on the new iMac machine was heard. But this time, a lot of exciting stories about new features of iMac are revealing out.
What about a quick journey to these rumors?

Central Processing Unit (CPU)
According to MacWorld, iMac 2016 will have Intel’s “Skylake” processor.
Hope, they have completely stopped using Broadwell processors.
Also, there’re rumors relating new iMac with Intel’s latest one, Kaby Lake. Or,it may go with Cannonlake processor, that’s yet to be released.
Graphic Processing Unit (GPU)
In October last year, Apple had signed a contract with AMD. By this contract, the graphics chips that power iMac 2016 will be from AMD’s Polaris. Two chipsets of Polaris – Polaris 10 and Polaris 11 are ready to appear in new Apple machines such as iMac 21016, MacBook Air 2016 etc. And by reports, these chipsets allow devices for Virtual Reality(VR) ready.
Virtual Reality (VR ) System
If rumors are right, iMac 2016 will be Apple’s first VR-ready machine.
iMac 2016 is likely to include a thunderbolt 3 port and 3 USB 3.1 ports. It’ll have pre-installed MacOS Sierra, latest Macintosh OS. And, they could be a flash storage system “Fusion Drive” to enhance the performance of desktop computers with a hybrid storage.
It was in October 2015, the latest iMac was released. Although there isn’t any confirmation regarding the official release of iMac 2016, we can expect the release around October this year.
One more – For the current iMac model, Apple-authorized resellers B&H and Adorama are offering huge discounts for up to $220. It can be even considered as an Apple tactic to welcome the release of iMac 2016.
